Oishi Kada

Oishi Kada is a small sushi restaurant located at the north end of Kensington Market — a block from College and Spadina. Our conversational review is below – with a special guest reviewer, no less!

Hiro Sushi

Hiro Sushi is located on King Street, just east off of Jarvis Street. Hiro Yoshida, owner, sushi chef has a reputation around Toronto as a “sushi master” and provides fine dining and traditional Japanese sushi recipes.

YUZU

[Update October 2012: We’re told that “YUZU” is now “Yuzunohana”] YUZU is located on Adelaide West, between University and Duncan, in downtown Toronto. It’s right on the edge of both the Financial and Entertainment Districts.

Ginza Sushi

Ginza Sushi is located in Yorkville, just steps from the Bay subway station. This is one of their three locations in Toronto. Delivery is available.

Daio Japanese Restaurant

Daio Japanese Restaurant is located on Carlton Street between Yonge and Church Streets. It has a small patio out front for those up for some summer sushi.

Ichiriki Japanese Restaurant

Ichiriki at Bloor and Church is more than just a sushi place, so it’s a bit different than most of the sushi places we review. One thing to note about Ichiriki is that they are closed Tuesday nights. This, however, was a Wednesday night.
